This Privacy Policy describes how Fieldbook Studio, LLC d/b/a Coaxial Collective (“Coaxial Collective,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware limited liability company based in Bentonville, Arkansas, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit measuretwice.media (the “Site”), apply to or compete in The Cut (the “Competition”), or otherwise interact with our Measure Twice brand.
This policy works alongside the Competition’s Official Rules at measuretwice.media/rules. If this policy and the Official Rules conflict regarding the Competition, the Official Rules control.
Information you provide directly
Competition application. When you apply to The Cut, we collect your name, email address, location (including willingness to travel or relocate), background information, trades experience and any licensing or certifications, existing social media handles and audience-building experience, team composition (solo, duo, or team details), the reasons you want to create content with us, and a self-recorded introduction video submitted as a YouTube link.
Challenge submissions. When you submit a challenge entry on the Site, we collect your email address, competitor or team name, and the URL(s) of the YouTube video(s) you submit. The videos themselves are hosted on YouTube under your own account and are subject to YouTube’s terms and privacy policy.
Communications. If you email us or respond to Competition communications, we collect the contents of those messages and your contact information.
Voting and engagement (later rounds). If public voting is offered, votes may be collected through the Site or through YouTube features (polls, comments). Voting conducted on YouTube is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
Site analytics. We use Netlify Analytics, a server-side analytics service that measures aggregate traffic (page views, referral sources, approximate location at the country/region level). It does not use cookies and does not build individual visitor profiles.
Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security and operations.
The Site does not use advertising cookies, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking.
Information from third parties
If you link your social media channels in your application, we may review publicly available information on those channels as part of evaluating your application.
Section 3Public Display of Competition Content#
The Competition is a public competition conducted on YouTube. By participating, and as described in the Official Rules:
- Your competitor or team name, general location, and submitted videos may be displayed publicly on the Site (including the challenge submission and winner galleries), on the Measure Twice YouTube channel, and across Coaxial Collective network channels, including Perkins Builder Brothers, HAXMAN, and Stud Pack.
- Your likeness, voice, and submitted content may appear in Competition recap videos, announcements, social media posts, and promotional materials in accordance with the license you grant under the Official Rules.
- If you are eliminated or withdraw, previously published Competition content featuring you may remain publicly available.
We will not publish your email address, street address, or phone number.
Section 5Embedded YouTube Videos#
The Site embeds YouTube videos using a click-to-load approach: no YouTube content loads until you click play. When you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google LLC) may set cookies and collect data under Google’s Privacy Policy. If you do not click play, no data is sent to YouTube from the embed.
Section 6Data Retention#
We retain Competition records (applications, submissions, correspondence, winner information) for as long as needed to administer the Competition and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and audit obligations and to maintain the published Competition archive. Published Competition content may remain available indefinitely as part of the show. You may request deletion of your personal information as described in Section 8, subject to our legal retention obligations and the content license granted under the Official Rules.
Section 7Security#
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls and reputable third-party infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Section 8Your Privacy Rights#
You may request that we:
- provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your personal information; or
- stop sending you marketing emails (every marketing email also includes an unsubscribe link).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in Section 12. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your records and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
State-specific rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know categories of information collected and shared. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out is required. California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf.
Deletion requests cannot withdraw rights you granted under the Official Rules to content already published, and we may retain information needed for legal compliance (for example, winner tax records).
Section 9Children’s Privacy#
The Site and the Competition are intended for adults. Competition entrants must be at least 18 years old (see the Official Rules for full eligibility requirements). The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Section 10United States Operations#
The Site is operated from the United States and the Competition is open to eligible U.S. participants as set out in the Official Rules. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be processed and stored in the United States.
Section 11Changes to This Policy#
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and for material changes affecting active competitors we will provide notice by email. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
